According to available data, Uganda faces a significant nutrition challenge, with a high prevalence of stunting among children under five, particularly in rural areas, alongside issues like micronutrient deficiencies, particularly iron deficiency anaemia, and widespread food insecurity; this is largely attributed to poverty, poor dietary diversity, and inadequate access to healthcare services. In this focus, VT is working towards a well-nourished, healthy and productive population effectively participating in the socio-economic transformation of Uganda.
