Over 70% of the population of Uganda is comprised of youth, they need to be gainfully occupied so that they can contribute to development and not participate in harmful behaviors
Over 60% of boys and girls ages (15 to 35) are unemployed and unskilled and will therefore be targeted in this strategy through community-based education/sensitization, vocational skilling, Microfinance, and saving loan groups. Our Mission is to see youth flourishing, creating opportunities, livelihoods and possibilities. We want to mobilize and empower children and youth through supporting education and skilling initiatives. We focus our energies on building communities through education and skilling because we believe in giving people the dignity to provide for their own families.
We want to help communities to build resilience and sustainability, giving them the knowledge, skills, and tools, they need to provide for their households and their communities, whatever their circumstances. Over the next five years, we are dramatically increasing our focus on creating opportunities for marginalized and vulnerable children, youth and women.
