Empowerment

We work with communities in Teso and Karamoja to arrive at solutions that work for them and appropriate in the digital era.

Over the last three decades, community systems in Teso and Karamoja, Eastern Uganda, have broken down as a result of several factors including HIV and AIDS, poverty, conflicts and the negative effects of globalization, such as; inequality, environmental degradation, exploitation and financial instability. To mitigate this, there is need for interventions that prioritize inclusive growth, transformative leadership, education and environmental protection. In the coming years, Vision TERUDO will put more focus on promoting child rights, food security, stable livelihoods and safe environment through empowering women as key stewards of family wellbeing. The youth and other vulnerable segments like elderly and persons with disability are targeted too as a way of ensuring sustainability of the gains.
