Inyangat James Peter is a seasoned professional currently serving as Executive Director of Vision Teso Rural Development Organization (Vision TERUDO). With a rich background in governance and leadership, he’s driven to enhance community development in Uganda. Before assuming his current role, Peter worked as a business skills trainer at Soroti District Private Sector Promotion Center. He began his journey with Vision TERUDO as an assistant accountant, diligently serving in this position for over 16 years before rising to the Executive Director role. As Executive Director, Peter has been instrumental in various initiatives, including addressing hunger in the Teso sub-region through sustainable solutions, improving nutrition levels for vulnerable households, rehabilitating community boreholes and rainwater harvesting systems. Other areas of success are establishing Self Help Groups and providing psychosocial support, enhancing governance and leadership capacities for NGOs and institutions. Peter is passionate about protecting women, children, youth, and the elderly, while promoting environmentally adaptive and socially accommodative development.
