Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)
Over the past strategic period, our WASH interventions have enhanced the health and dignity of underserved communities through improved access to safe water, sanitation facilities and hygiene education. These efforts have contributed to reduced waterborne diseases, better school attendance and strengthened community ownership;
- Improved access to safe water
- Rehabilitated 10 community boreholes and 2 rainwater harvesting systems, benefiting over 15,000 people with reliable access to clean water.
- Rehabilitated non-functional water points in remote villages, reducing walking distances for water collection by an average of 2 hours per day.
- Partnered with local water user committees to ensure maintenance and sustainability of water infrastructure.
